Another effective astral projection technique is the “Hammock Technique”. This is especially useful if you like hammocks and visualization.

The Hammock Technique

The Hammock Technique : Visualize yourself lying in a bright white hammock, stationed between two palm trees on a secluded beach. Imagine the feeling of swaying in the wind, and recreate that feeling now as you visualize yourself swaying from side to side in the hammock. Repeat this visualization for as long as it takes to bring forth the vibrations, and when you feel the vibrations, just “roll-out” of your body.

8 Easy Tips to Remembering your Astral Voyage 0

As an astral projection beginner, don’t you just hate it when you have the most awesome astral voyage and then when you ‘wake up’ from it you can hardly remember it at all?

Don’t worry, here are 8 easy methods that I would like to share with you in order to remember what happened during your astral projections experiences because I know what it feels like at the beginning to forget your out of body experience and potentially lose out on valuable information that you’ve gained through these experiences.

8 Steps to Recall your Astral Projection Experiences

1. Affirmation before Projection : Before you start your projection, always affirm that your consciousness will be crystal clear during your travels and you will bring back vivid memories of everything that happens on the Astral plane. If you repeat this couple of times with desire and intent, you will have a very good chance of having a high recall.

2. Affirmation during Projection : When you are out in the Astral, remind yourself several times that whatever you are experiencing will stay with you once you are back. Never loose this thought. Hammer this into your subconscious that you will remember, you will remember. And you WILL remember!

3. Stay still! : As soon as you are back in your body, DO NOT MOVE from the position in which you awaken, and do not think of the day’s concerns. Keep your eyes closed and try to recollect your experience. A major cause of dream forgetting is interference from other thoughts competing for your attention. Therefore, let your first thought upon awakening be, “What was I just dreaming?” Allow them to naturally come to your mind. You may remember them in fragments. Don’t worry. Try to remember whatever you can.

4. Keep a Dream Journal : The single most important thing that you can do to increase your recall is to keep a journal. You may call this diary your Astral Journal if you want, and this will record details of all your Astral travels. An Astral journal can be as simple or as elaborate as you want.

5. Recall backwards : Cling to any clues of what you might have been experiencing–moods, feelings, fragment of images, and try to rebuild a story from them. When you recall a scene, try to recall what happened before that, and before that, reliving the dream in reverse. Write everything down

6. Change sleep position : If you feel nothing more can be recalled, try changing your sleeping position. By doing this you will often remember more. Again, keep on writing everything that comes to your mind.

7. Capture keywords : While recalling your experiences, the emphasis is on capturing key words and phrases. Include a date and a meaningful title to each experience. This will help you in analyzing what kind of experiences you went through during a particular phase in your life. It is also suggested that you write everything in the present tense instead of the past tense. This gives u a greater chance of recall.

8. Have a scribbling pad handy : It is also an excellent idea to have a scribbling notepad and pen handy, especially by your bed. You may also have a bedside lamp or flashlight for recording key words and phrases when you awaken during the night. You will sometimes wake up in pitch dark with vivid recollections of your travel. Write them down immediately. Do not wait till you get up in the morning. By morning, you may forget it altogether!

Astral Projection Techniques From Seth 0

Now if you’re new to Seth, let me explain a little first.

Seth is a very wise entity that hit international fame when he spoke through Jane Roberts while she was in a trance.  He was the one who coined the phrase, “You create your own reality.” Some even say he’s the one that rocket propelled the New Age movement. His first book was published in the late 1960s and his books have since sold over 7 million copies. Many have claimed that he can help you answer your life questions and improve yourself.

Astral Projection, Technique 1 From A Seth Book

‘These are my instructions. You may consider this your first lesson. We will go by easy stages, for we do not want you betwixt and between. You may induce a medium trance in whatever way you choose. On occasion this will be spontaneous, as you know. For best results in the beginning it is good to make a projection attempt when you already feel physically drowsy, but pleasantly so. When you have induced the trance state, then begin to examine your own subjective feelings until you find recognition of the inner self.

This involves a recognition of yourself as distinct from the fleshy fibers in which you reside. Then begin to imagine this inner self rising upward. You should experience even at this point an internal sense of motion. This motion may be from side to side, as you gently shake yourself loose, so to speak.

It may be a rushing upward. Whichever motion you experience there will be a moment where you feel yourself, your identity and consciousness, definitely withdrawing from the physical organism. Before you attempt the projection, however, the suggestion should be given that the physical organism will be well protected and comfortable. Now when you feel the consciousness withdrawing, there are two things you may do. I suggest the first step I shall give you in preference to the second.

When you have those dreams of flight, this is very similar to the experience of astral travel. The feeling of being airborne is much like the way that your astral body travels through the astral plane. All you need to do is focus on the place you want to or on the things which you want and your astral body is there in the blink of an eye. When your physical body and mind are at rest, your astral body is free to roam the universe.

Although we may astral travel while we are asleep, it should not be mistaken for dreaming. Dreaming is quite different, since it happens entirely within your brain as it goes over what has happened that day, placing things into context and allowing you to get past them and awake rested the next day. Your dreams may or may not be remembered after you awake, which is an important difference between astral travel and dreaming.

No Distractions

The room you choose to practice astral projection should be quiet and free from any distractions, ie, people suddenly walking into the room or dogs barking outside. It should have a bed or a comfortable armchair – a bed would be better.

Subdued Lighting

The room should be cool and dimly lit; too much light is distracting and total darkness can be too intense, especially for beginners, so light nights or early mornings would be the best times to practice.

A Favorite Astral Projection Technique

While I was searching for some techniques to improve my astral projection recently, I came across this intriguing technique based on the Writer’s conclusions of what astral projection should be - complete relaxation. In some ways I agree as astral projecting should be fun, exciting, and enjoyable. After all, it’s an adventure!

There is a condition that the body enters when a person gets too much sleep. People complain right and left when they get too much sleep that they “just couldn’t get up because they slept too much.” Or that they made a mistake because they slept in too long and now they are more tired than when they started. Ok, it’s this very feeling you want! The next weekend that you can sleep in, turn off your phone, get rid of all distractions like beepers, cell phones and pets and just plan on sleeping in! Here’s how it works. All of our bodies have a natural alarm clock. When it goes off on the weekend, get up to take care of any issues (like if you are slightly hungry, have to go to the bathroom or need to take aspirin because your neck is tweaked). Then, go back to bed asap! Also, only get up to take care of needs if you have to! The less alert you are, the better. It will probably take you an hour to fall back asleep because your body is not expecting this cycle. Don’t worry at this point about clearing your mind, or anything like that, just let your thoughts run wild and enter into sleep. Pretty soon when you try and wake up the second time (or the third) you will find yourself totally SLUGGISH! You’ll be slipping into a delirium and your muscles have gone to mush. NOW is the time to deepen that state. You would think that that would mean thinking about “how to get deeper” but this is not true. To go deeper means to think of nothing (totally quiet the mind) and slow your breathing even more. Sink into your sleep, let yourself remain mushy and then, ever so gently, focus on your third eye. Just last weekend I was doing this and I went catatonic and started having lucid dreams (of which you can also project from). When I won the daily it was because I didn’t have to get up (it was snowing and I couldn’t get out of my driveway) so I took that opportunity to over-sleep and I had 5 projections that day! Of course, if you have children, pets, noisy neighbors, busy plans for that day, it’s not going to be conducive for you, but still, it’s a good technique and some people have control over their weekend schedules.

How to do Astral Travel

Astral travel is an experience that can change peoples’ lives for the better. Those who have experienced it report a newfound appreciation for life.

Here is one person’s interpretation of the experience.

Astral travel has been practised throughout history - and there have been thousands of documented scientific experiements confirming that astral travel is real.

People seek therapy because they ‘wake up paralyzed and rigid’ (sleep paralysis, a close component of astral travel) ‘Wake up and see strange beings around them’ (entities found in the astral plane) ‘Find themselves floating or vibrating violently, or engulfed in a bright light’ (sensations felt as the astral body leaves the physical body) Some people have even gone so far as to say their astral experiences are alien encounters.

And, there are those who resent astral travel and/or refuse to beleive it is possible at all. Perhaps for one or more of the following reasons:

1. They beleive that astral experiences are actually dreams. (Wrong. Astral travel is a fully conscious experience, as thousands of people have confirmed worldwide.)

2. They beleive that those who claim to astral travel are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. (Wrong again. Drugs or Alcohol actually hinder astral travel. Furthermore, most people who astral travel began astral travelling at a very young age - 6 to 12.)

3. They beleive what people describe as an astral experience is actually an alien abduction. (Thrice wrong. Although, waking paralyzed, seeing strange entities, and being engulfed in a blinding white light may be likened to an alien abduction, such symptoms are components of the first stages of astral travel.)

4. They beleive people claim to be able to astral travel for publicity, money, or attention in general. (Indeed, some people may use astral travel for such a purpose, or claim that they are able to astral travel when in actuality they cannot. However, astral travel is an enlightening spiritual experience, and he or she who has astral travelled normally understands the importance of keeping such a controvertial hobby quiet. Furthermore, it is commonly known that if one astral travels for selfish or evil purposes, they are likely to find themselves attracting unpleasant entities.)
